The Role
:

The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day support of technology associated with property applications for Corporate offices, Hotels, Restaurants, Beach Club, Country Club, Activities office, Sales & Marketing, and support personnel. Daily duties include but not limited to support, repair, and implementation of IT hardware and software.


Responsibilities:

The incumbent is responsible for:

  • Windows Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Windows and Mac OS systems
    • Windows Systems and Windows Servers 2012/2016/2019
  • Microsoft office suite support
    • Microsoft 2019 and Microsoft Office 365
  • IP Phone/Switch (Avaya CS1000)
  • Voicemail (Callpilot, HMS400, Contact Center)
  • Call Accounting, Vingcard,
  • Restaurant and Retail POS (Micros 3700)
  • Hotel system PMS (Micros Opera)
  • Paycom Timeclocks Time and Attendance
  • Accounting systems (Platinum, FAS, FRX)
  • Cybersecurity Best Practices
  • Working Knowledge of networking equipment, configuration and operations including firewall, routers, switches, and servers.
  • Working knowledge of network topologies and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan.
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights as well as establish service level agreements with end users.
  • Performs back up to appropriate storage area.
  • Experience working in a compliant and audited IT environment (PCI-DSS, SOX, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Maintain up to date documentation and asset management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work Wednesday through Sunday 9am to 6pm
  • Self-motivated and capable of working unsupervised.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good problem solving and organization skills.
  • Available to work weekends/holidays.
  • Live on Catalina Island.
  • Must be minimum of 18 years of age
  • Outgoing (strong interpersonal skills)
  • Fantastic troubleshooter with a strong attention to detail
  • Team player and ability to work independently
  • Good sense of humor with a strong desire to learn
  • Familiarity with a variety of tech support concepts, practices, and procedures
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude required


Education and/or Experience:

  • 2 – 3 years tech support experience in a break-fix environment
  • Technical certifications a plus: MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA, A+, etc.
  • An Associate’s degree or its equivalent

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, push and pull on a regular basis.
  • Must have full range of overhead motions and full hand dexterity.
  • Requires visual acuity and the ability to hear clearly to communicate with managers, coworkers and guests
