IT SaaS Vendor Manager
Overview:
As a key leader on the WeedMaps IT team, the IT SaaS Vendor Manager will use their analytical and negotiation skills to help optimize the internal and 3rd party tool sets used by the organization. Additionally, you will be responsible for helping manage vendor relationships across the organization, drawing on your purchasing experience and system tools knowledge, you'll collaborate with teams across the organization such as the Engineering, Product, and Design departments to build and execute strategies and plans centered around different functions and tools. Your balanced mentality of maximizing ROI and optimizing functional performance will help our organization achieve peak performance.
The impact you'll make:

• Help drive clarity and transparency within functional teams to understand what functions are important in certain tool sets
• Align teams towards complex multi-functional tool sets that would benefit multiple teams while meeting the operational needs of the requestor
• Regularly assess the team's working maturity, health, and composition, relentlessly striving for cohesion and delivery excellence.
• Provide project stakeholders with regular consistent reporting regarding contracts and projects.
• Create transparency and predictability via feature mapping, roadmaps, sprint plans, burn-downs, cycle times, value stream maps, budget updates, and release reports.
• Align communication between the cross-functional departments throughout the organization as it pertains to your project/program, with the possibility of off hours duty, if needed.
• Understand the task and responsibilities of the cross-functional departments and be able to launch mitigation steps in case there is a gap or unforeseen issue that needs to be addressed.
• Ensure project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved on schedule and within budget.

What you've accomplished:

• 3-5 years of purchasing, buying, vendor management experience involving Saas / Cloud services within a tech or eCommerce environment.
• 1-3 years in a project management role for high production, high performing teams that consist of inter-departmental roles such as software, design, product development, and business operations.
• Self starter mentality and strong resolve when met with challenges via a project, a program, and personnel.
• Proven ability with corporate buying processes, contract negotiation, vendor relationships
• Proven ability to effectively communicate to varying levels of management via presentations,scheduled updates, and ad hoc communication requests.
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and implement methods to help teams perform efficiently.
• Proven ability to manage teams, mostly through influence, and thrives in a high paced dynamic environment.

Bonus points:

• Technical leadership to optimize spend for AWS, Datadog and other common SW Engineering platforms.
• JIRA administration and tool (Structure, boards, etc) experience.
• Experience with Slack, Slack Integrations, PagerDuty, and other communication, reporting, and productivity tools.
• Project Management Certifications
• Experience in process improvement implementations

The base pay range for this is position is: $96,000 - $117,000
