Job Title: Irrigation Technician Reports to: General Manager

Location: Westlake, Ohio FLSA Status: Full- Time, Hourly

Job Summary:

Ground Works Land Design is looking for a Irrigation Technician to join our growing team. As the Irrigation Technician you will be the company’s first response to service, install and troubleshoot irrigation systems. This candidate will also be responsible for operating irrigation systems, clocks, equipment, installation equipment and winterization of irrigation systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No direct supervisory responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients when necessary and address customer concerns.
• Effectively communicating customer needs to the Client Relations Representative
• Operate irrigation systems, equipment and installation equipment
• Conducting and recording detailed inspections and plan and execute upgrades to client systems
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, work site and maintains equipment
• Positively promotes the company culture
• Submits all required records in accordance with company policies
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum of 3 years irrigation experience
• Adaptable to a growing team
• Effective communicator with the ability to be presidential when conversing with a client or fellow employee.
• Detail oriented and organized
• Self-driven and positive attitude
• Able to work efficiently with little to no supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment a plus
• Able to analyze diverse problems and consistently make proper decisions
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills

Educations and Experience:

• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
• Able to work successfully with limited supervision
• Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in irrigation

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Able to crouch, bend, climb stairs/ladders for periods of time
• Able to stand for long periods of time
