Inventory Manager Job at AV Staffing Solutions
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Inventory Manager will be in charge of inventory in a state-of-the-art warehouse. You will lead a team of inventory and warehouse workers to receive and record inventory.
This position will be responsible for keeping inventory levels consistent by purchasing goods and maintaining good relationships with suppliers. Strong written and oral communication skills, and experience with warehouse management software and Excel are also required. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment essential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees team of inventory or warehouse employees.
- Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
- Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
- Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
- Manages schedules of employees, deliveries and shipments to optimize operations.
- Communicates with inventory employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
- Develops business relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
- Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
- Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
- Manages the recruitment and training of new inventory employees.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 years’ experience
- Leadership and management, team oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal ability
- Organizational and logistics skills
- Problem solving
- Data analysis
- Proactive critical thinking
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Internet and media research
- Experience working with Warehouse Management System Tecsys
- Demonstrate ability to calculate figures and amounts

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar
- Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
- Experience conducting tracking and data analysis
- Product and inventory management certification a plus
Days/ Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
