This job is for you if you:
- Understand basic warehousing techniques, physical inventory and cycle counting.
- Have used computerized record keeping systems.
- Possess sound analytical, problem solving, judgment and decision-making skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Your team is counting on you as an Inventory Control Analyst to:
- Work full time and on-site.
- Be comfortable and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and coordinate the activities that support cycle counting, including but not limited to the preparation of daily cycle count requests and providing daily direction to cycle counters; review of cycle count results; verification of accuracy and make the necessary transactions to establish accurate inventory balances and preparing monthly reports of cycle count accuracy.
- Partner with other departments by identifying and troubleshooting causes of inventory discrepancies and recommend preventive measures.
- Provide inventory information, guidance, and training to various key stakeholders as appropriate to the area of operation.
- Under management direction, consolidate inventories, maintain an effective locator system for all parts, and help coordinate other appropriate storekeeping practices.
- Coordinate and participate in the annual physical inventory for all onsite and off-site locations.
- Provide timely data entry transactions for, but not limited to, defective material requests, return material authorizations, surplus parts disposals, inventory location management, purchase order reversals, subcontract purchase orders, and transfer tickets.
- Provide backup for members of the Production and Inventory Control Department.
Education and Experience
- Associates degree in business or related field desirable.
- 3 - 5 years’ work experience in planning and inventory control or similar analytical role.
- Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, charts, graphs).
- Experience with computer based MRP/ERP system required.
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
- APICS certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification.
