Interviewer (Clinical) III Job at Albert Einstein College of Medicine
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Bronx clinic (funded $12+million) of the Hispanic Community Health Study is 1 of 4 national sites contracted by the government to recruit Hispanic Latino adults residing in the Bronx territory. Recruiters are required to bring in a total of 4,000 participants into the study. To do so, they must be physically fit (walk up/down stairs in non elevator buildings, carry a laptop and/or study equipment), communicable (various Spanish speaking tongues and cultural acceptances), computer literate etc.
- Interview and screen potential participants via person to person and telephone;
- Collect research data when required;
- Assist with outreach and community screening, etc.;
- Assist with data entry;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must be able to handle field work-going to participants home in the Bronx-this will be approximately 50 percent of the time
- High School Graduate plus 6 months - 1 year of clerical experience required.
- Must be able to communicate well with others.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Must be organized, a good-speaker and attentive listener; computer literate, capable of walking, standing and climbing stairs;
- Knowledgeable of the Bronx neighborhoods and mass transportation;
- Flexibility in hours and days: Works in the field Mon-Fri late afternoon-evening hrs, also Saturday and Sunday;
