Position Description
The Internal Communications Specialist develops and executives the company’s strategic internal communications plan. This role will partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The Internal Communications Specialist will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Marketing (EVP).
What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for all internal communications company-wide.
  • Create employee content through a variety of mediums including but not limited to planned all-hands meetings, town hall meetings, email campaigns, presentations, videos, human interest articles, etc.
  • Partner with stakeholders to create investor communications.
  • Partner with Executive and Senior Leadership Teams (ELT and SLT) to craft communications relative to department needs.
  • Create (and enact when necessary) an internal crisis communication plan.
  • Partner with the marketing team to create messaging for various mediums, including flyers, videos, HTML email templates, etc.
  • Partner with Human Resources to gain and maintain pulse on employee feedback and engagement.
  • Partner with Human Resources to create effective communications and trainings.
  • Measure, analyze, and optimize communication channels and topics.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of corporate or internal communications experience.
  • Experience working with executive leadership.
  • Superlative communication skills in all forms.
  • Excellent strategic organization skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be extremely proficient with technology, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use tact and professionalism, including in times of extreme stress.
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to difficult questions and issues.
  • Ability to create, implement, and apply a budget.
  • Must be service oriented with ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to consistently adhere to deadlines.
  • Works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
  • Noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.
  • Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
