In this role you will:
The Intensive Support Coach is responsible to uphold the therapeutic, healing environment of the RTF in its most intensive moments. He/She will provide immediate response and co-regulation to youth in crisis throughout the RTF as well as Intensive Support Services to youth who require such plans.

What qualifications do you need:
  • As part of a team, collaborates with Crisis Prevention Specialist and leadership team in developing and implementing plans to reduce crisis and enhance therapeutic nature of program
  • Provides immediate therapeutic intervention and de-escalation to youth in crisis situations
  • Trains, Coaches and reinforces prevention and de-escalation techniques & safety plans and coping skills during and after dysregulation
  • Engages and leads staff and resident de-briefings or mediations after crisis
  • Supervise, engage and coach residents to ensure safety, enhance their coping skills and support their treatment plans
  • Support with transitioning residents back into the community, including, but not limited to, coaching in family home and in community settings
  • May serve as leaders or co-leaders in group work with residents
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for leading the program in its therapeutic approach modeling TCI skills and Sanctuary commitments
  • Responsible for supporting an active and structured routine in the RTF program
  • Serves as Role Model and peer to Youth Advocates and new staff in the program
  • Act as site supervisor when necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents
Covid vaccinated required (fully vaccinated)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a mental health field
