Insurance Verifier Job at Discount Drug Mart, Inc.
Discount Drug Mart is seeking a positive, highly motivated Insurance Verifier to join our PME&S team at our Medina, Ohio location!
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for contacting insurances to verify coverage for durable medical equipment and supplies.
- Must maintain strong knowledge of in and out of network plans, commercial insurance policies, procedures, and their rules and regulations
- Understand medical necessities, deductibles and copays.
- Contact insurance companies and DDM stores for verifications and confirmations
- Update doctors records and notes into current DDM systems
- Communicates any problems and concerns to supervisor that may lead to inaccurate or untimely completion of reimbursement processing.
Requirements and Education:
- Must have well-developed organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to independently within established policies and procedures.
- Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
- Must have proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and must be able to use Outlook.
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED
