INSURANCE CLAIMS COORDINATOR

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Familiarize self with all billing requirements of each insurance provider
  • Submit claims weekly for payment
  • Review and clear all clearing house rejections
  • Call weekly on outstanding receivables from insurance providers; work aggressively to collect all past due amounts owed
  • Reprocess claims as necessary to receive payment
  • Post all payments to the system of record to ensure accuracy

  • Write in correct grammar in a concise and understandable manner

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with Medical Billing
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working Insurance Accounts Receivable
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work aggressively to obtain payments
  • Team-oriented individual who checks ego at the door
  • Motivated self-starter with drive to get things done
  • Insurance industry experience preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • No specific requirements

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Microsoft O365
