Statement of the basic purpose of this job

To ensure the quality level of the electronic products being built.

Specific duties and responsibilities unique to this job

• Perform diversified assembly, inspection and test on electronic assemblies.
• Read and interpret a variety of production documentation (setup sheets, flowcharts, assembly drawings) prior to production.
• Accessing assembly drawings, and bills of material to be available during the build process.
• Inspect product as necessary.
• Communicate with pre-reflow team and machine operators regarding defect information that can be then used to reduce defects.
• Use the defect tracking software to document defect data and file accordingly.

Equipment used

Conveyor belts, PC and printer, copier, calculator, microscopes, wash equipment.

Work environment and conditions, travel, potential hazards

This is an electronics field service and manufacturing environment that requires the use of safety devices and ESD equipment/clothing.

Ability to work in a team-based environment or independently.

Job qualifications ( minimum , required experience/skills/knowledge)

Multi-tasking abilities, general inspection knowledge of electronic components, good communication skills.

Job qualifications ( preferred , experience/skills/knowledge)

Understanding of basic electronic components, materials and processes and/or prior experience of an electronics environment.

Training (new employee/annual/on-the-job)

MSDS (material safety data sheet)

ESD (electro-static discharge) training/certification prior to entering production environment

Emergency evacuation

Safety/accident prevention

IPC Certification

Solder training/certification

Physical activity and sensory requirements

Good oral and written communication skills

Manually dexterous

Hand to eye coordination and good depth perception
