Infection Preventionist Job at Dutchtown Care Center
The infection preventionist evaluates the quality of resident care and outcomes as they relate to Healthcare Acquired Infections and Community Acquired Infections in accordance with applicable laws, state and federal regulations. Presents infection data and makes recommendations for actions. Monitors compliance with infection control standards through use of infection prevention measures. Prepares and presents education for staff, residents and families. Serves as a resource for all departements and personnel.
Must have a valid RN or LPN license
Must have completed or be willing to complete an approved Infection Preventionist Certification Course
Prior experience in Long Term Care Experience preferred
Job Requirements
Responsible to monitor Public Health Advisories from Local, State and Federal agencies including but not limited to CDC
Serves as on site IPC for Covid-19 prevention and response
Maintains a current knowledge of infection control trends
Must maintain knowledge of regulations regarding infection control
