Zollinger Immigration has an immediate opening for an immigration paralegal. Responsibilities will include working with individuals and organizations to prepare, file and monitor various immigration cases. The ideal candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, coachable and able to work independently. The person must possess excellent computer skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Prepare immigration cases as assigned by attorney for submittal to the appropriate government agencies
- Demonstrate increasing level of independence and expertise in handling cases
- Responsible for working with attorney in the preparation, filing, and monitoring of various immigration and nationality law matters.
- Understand the procedures and documentation required for cases to be filed successfully
- Work with clients to gather the necessary information and documentation in a timely, organized and efficient manner
- Prepare forms according to information received from clients
- Prepare correspondence and other documents
- Finalize documents after review by attorney
- Demonstrate ability to manage a high caseload and work within strict timelines
- Monitor the status of all cases
- Run reports to assist with case management
- Evaluate and assist in preparing case strategies
- Engage in frequent contact with clients
Must have a bachelor’s degree or certificate in paralegal studies or related field.
One year of experience in business immigration preferred.
