The following full-time contract position may be available

in the 2023-24 school year:

Elementary Special Education Teacher

Ithan Elementary School

Qualifications:

• PA Certificate – Special Education PreK-8, or Special Education PK-12 required
• Elementary classroom experience, preferred
• Knowledge and experience working with students with academic, and social/emotional needs
• Knowledge and experience with writing IEPs/Positive Behavior Support Plans

Responsibilities:

• Plan and present a program of study that meets the needs of individual students
• Write and revise IEPs, and conduct IEP meetings
• Provide climate conducive to active student learning
• Work collaboratively with staff to support student learning
• Communicate regularly with families
• Adhere to state, district and school policies and procedures
• Carry out other assignments as designated by principal/supervisor(s)

Additional Requirements:

• Completion of PDE required training (on-line training courses)
