Overview:
Silver Star Industries, Inc is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic full-time Human Resource Generalist who thrives in a team environment, and has the ability to provide exceptional service to our employees and clients. The HR Generalist will aid and facilitate HR processes under the direction of the management team with particular emphasis on employee relations, safety, and policy development. This role provides various administrative support, including but not limited to record-keeping, file maintenance, timekeeping management and payroll processing.
Essential Job Duties:
- Performs employee timekeeping maintenance including PTO tracking and timecard adjustments
- Conduct and build an onboarding framework for new hires to ensure productivity and positive employee experience.
- Provide employees with interpretation of personnel policies and procedures to ensure proper compliance to rules, regulations, and laws. Appropriately responds to questions and concerns regarding the same.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; payroll processing; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Responsible for Company’s payroll processing. This includes timely payment of federal and state taxes and well as timely filing of quarterly and annual tax filings
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Analyze, develop and implement the employee benefit program for Company. Recommends changes or additions to reflect employee and Company’s needs.
- Manage employee engagement initiatives, such as: Company picnics, Holiday celebration
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
- Oversee and ensure accurate and timely submission of Company’s worker compensation filing
Skills/Qualifications:
- Proven extensive experience with ADP
- Experience working with WA Department of L&I and workers comp filing preferred
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good knowledge of federal, state, and local labor regulations required
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach
Hours:
7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday with flexible time off policy
