The Human Resources Generalist will support daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including payroll, onboarding, benefits, leave management, and enforcing company policies and practices. Ensures compliance with state and federal labor laws and provides appropriate communication to managers and supervisors regarding new regulations.

What you’ll do as a Human Resources Generalist:

  • Assist in the coordination of human resources programs such as payroll, onboarding, benefits, employee engagement activities, and training and development
  • Approve transactions and input changes and relevant information into ADP, including new hires, benefits, promotions, terminations, etc.
  • Resolve routine issues and employee concerns such as medical claims, documentation requests, training enrollments, etc.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of human resources policies and recommends revisions or modification to meet the needs of the organization
  • Assist employees with day-to-day HR questions and requirements
  • Ensure that the HR department maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Establish positive employer-employee relations by protecting the interest of the employee and the company in accordance with company policies and core values, as well as governmental laws and regulations
  • Participate in the development, assessment, and implementation of company-wide programs to improve retention, quality of work life, employee morale, and diversity awareness
  • Prepare and/or maintain regular and special reports to assist in the attainment of company and department objectives
  • Update bulletin boards, coordinate employee events, participate in employee engagement activities, and serve as the main point of contact for site HR
  • Perform such individual assignments as management may direct

We’re looking for a Human Resources Generalist with:

  • BA/BS in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a HR Generalist role (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
  • Proficiency in the administration of special leaves, (FMLA, ADA, STD, and Workers' Comp)
  • Excellent knowledge of HR/personnel practices and principles, and all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health, and safety laws and regulations
  • Excellent planning, time management, decision making, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proven ability to provide effective customer service for internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational and detail-orientation skills in order to manage a continuous workflow in a high volume, multi-tasking environment
  • Solid problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with ADP systems a plus (preferred)
  • Ability to translate desired company culture into specific employee and managerial behaviors

Physical requirements and working conditions:

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
  • Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
  • Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
  • This Human Resources Generalist position is located on-site in our Erlanger, KY facility
