Villa Esperanza Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals with developmental disabilities for over 60 years, has an immediate employment opportunity for a Human Resources Clerk in the Pasadena area.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am- 4:30 pm (40 hours per week)

SALARY RANGE: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour, DOE

COVID-19 Considerations: This position requires the employee to work in health care facilities/residential facilities governed by the Health Care Worker Vaccination Requirement that was issued by County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health. Due to the Health Care Worker Vaccination Requirement order, all workers who provide services or work in health care facilities/residential facilities must be fully vaccinated. Therefore, the selected candidate hired for the position must submit proof of vaccination for COVID 19 + booster dose (if eligible for booster) prior to the first day of employment.

DESCRIPTION:

  • Carries out general administrative/clerical duties as required in relation to the functions of the HR department and assists in routine operational processes.
  • Assists the Human Resources department with full cycle recruitment (advertisement, interview scheduling, and selection process) and effective hiring of staff for programs.
  • Assist with the post offer process (ensures that all of the required documentation is in the file employee references, education verification, physical exams, etc.).
  • Provides an exceptional candidate and new hire experience acting as an ambassador for Villa ensuring excellent customer service and regular communication with candidates during the hiring/on boarding/post offer/new hire cycle.
  • Responsible for the proper upkeep (ensuring that all required forms are inside the packets, ensuring the most recent/updated form is used, etc.) of employment related packets: New Hire Packet, Orientation Packet, Benefits Packet, etc.
  • Provides administration support to HR department i.e. mailings, photocopies, etc. Benefits eligibility packets to be done first week of the month including pre-posted mail for the above packets.
  • Adhere with all safety standards, regulations and policies and train staff and clients regarding safety standards as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and respect for others (staff, clients, management, and external parties) during all interactions.
  • Maintain confidentiality in matters of clients, personnel, and Villa Esperanza Services operations; exercises good judgment in the performance of duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be available to work over time, including occasional Saturday's.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to drive their own vehicle.
