Position Summary: The Human Resources Assistant will enter data and maintain administrative systems that allow effective management of all HR activities with a focus on accuracy of timekeeping systems and attendance calendars.

Essential Functions:

· Responsible for the accuracy of timekeeping records for the management team in the administration of timekeeping and attendance calendars

· Review Kronos daily and weekly timecards for accuracy and completeness

· Records benefit time requests from managers into the timekeeping system and records on associates’ attendance calendars

· Prepares, communicates, and follows up on Kronos Exception reports with each operations manager

· Maintain associates schedules in the Kronos timekeeping system

· Notifies managers if there are any discrepancies in missed punches, badge malfunctions and work schedules

· Acts as Liaison between Payroll Coordinator and associates and/or management with inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies, pay, hours, overtime, retro and available benefit time

· Responsible for maintaining associate files and HR records

· Assist associates with changes for direct deposit, tax withholding allowances, address, phone number, etc.

· Maintains bulletin boards with current legal notices, company information, associate relations events, and other news related to associates

· Maintains and communicates the Daily Roster to the management team

· Responsible for compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

· Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Complete assigned projects independently and work well within a team environment

· Ability to manage confidential information with the utmost discretion

· The tact and diplomacy required to work with a variety of people (associates, executives, job candidates) in situations that may be stressful and/or involve personal circumstances

· Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms including the ability to explain HR processes, policies and benefits

· Ability to build and maintain productive and influential relationships required to be successful in a high-speed, cross-functional environment

· Technological acumen required to set-up and manage spreadsheets and track basic HR metrics such as Kronos exception reports

· Capability to utilize technology tools including document preparation, spreadsheet development and maintenance, internet research, and WSI HR applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Required – English/Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree or actively participating in a bachelor’s degree program required
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
