HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT

FULL TIME

The Human Resources Assistant performs administrative support to the Human Resources Director. The HR Assistant maintains utmost confidentiality in all matters related to the Human Resources Department, as well as other information obtained during the course of duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
  • Assists with the hiring process, posts positions, screens applications and schedules interviews.
  • Initiates and monitors progress of reference checks and background checks. Conducts primary source license verification when applicable.
  • Responsible for maintenance of HR files, including creating, maintaining and filing.
  • Responsible for tracking of professional licensure/certifications ensuring staff professional licensure is active, reporting to managers of upcoming expirations.
  • Assemble information packets (new employee orientation, benefits, etc.)
  • Assist the HR Director with annual benefits renewal.
  • Administers and tracks FMLA leaves and ensure proper documentation was received.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and adherence as it relates to confidential matters.
  • Assists in coordinating and promotion of employee-related events.

Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft or related software, i.e., spreadsheets, databases, presentations, computer systems, electronic mail.
  • Able to read, understand and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
