Job Description:
- Interpret safety regulations and company standards, and provide Safety support for Operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of contractor safety programs at the field level, including initial and annual evaluations and approvals, periodic contractor safety reviews, orientations, and working with contractors day to day.
- Inspect saltwater disposal facilities for compliance with OSHA, State, and Company rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Participates in incident investigations and reviews and supports preparing relevant documentation using root cause methodologies.
- Practice and reinforce safe work practices through the behavioral observation process and by coordinating and conducting HSE observation training for company and contract employees.
- Compile and maintain safety statistics, analyze incident data for trends and prepare advisory or alert communications.
- Supports and provides leadership for case management of all injuries.
- Responsible for the implementation, coordination, and documentation of HSE required training.
- Offers innovative solutions to solve difficult issues and leads employees and contractors to work in a safe team environment.
- Participates and/or Lead Team(s) in developing, improving, and executing programs that align with company goals.
- Perform HSE administrative duties including but not limited to: answering and directing incoming inquiries to the HSE team, composing and/or editing a variety of documents, memorandums, and announcements including the highly sensitive and confidential correspondence.
- Prepare and submit reports to various entities both internally and externally.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree from an accredited College or University in science, engineering, technology, occupational safety or related discipline is preferred.
- Professional safety accreditation(s) also preferred. 5 - 10 years of progressive applicable EH&S work related experience in the oil and gas business is required.
- Excellent understanding of OSHA and other related regulations applicable to oil and gas industry.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Project a professional image and have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and work in a team environment.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and effectively handle multiple projects.
