Martz Bus, a leader in motor coach transportation, is currently accepting applications for the position of HRIS - Human Resources Assistant – Hyattsville, MD. Martz is family owned and operated and has been in the motor coach industry for over a century.
We are seeking energetic, positive, and self-motivated applicants. The HRIS – HR Assistant will assist the Human Resources Manager in supporting the HR department locally and corporate wide. This is an entry level position and is a great opportunity for a recent human resources major graduate.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the HRIS, including configuration, working directly with the vendor on issues, etc.
· Develop reports, assist users, act as the administrator of the HRIS, LMS, SharePoint, and other HR software platforms for the location
· Process new hire paperwork which includes: entering information to HRIS and OSCER systems, e-verify, track DOT requirements for pre-emplloyment, benefit administration, and providing the Safety Department with appropriate forms that are needed for Driver Qualification File
· Process reports including turnover, recruitment, compensation and all others, as needed
· Responsible for conducting Telephone Reference checks for new hires
· Instrumental in converting forms to an electronic format
· Track and enter disciplines and pertinent information into SharePoint
· Conduct Exit Interviews to determine reason behind separation
· Complete employment verification inquiries for past and present employees
