HR Business Partners perform a specialized type of HR work focused on HR consulting to the business including: •HR consulting and coaching (e.g., working with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues, provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.) •Enabling business change (e.g., supporting the talent aspects of organization structure changes, talent integration related to mergers & acquisitions, etc.) •HR program advocacy (e.g., communicating the business value of HR initiatives, managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption, etc.) •Partnering with the business and talent management/staffing and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, hi-potential employee development, succession planning, etc.)

Human Resource Business Partner

Job Summary:
The HR business partner (HRBP) is responsible for developing strong partnerships with employees and leadership across the organization. They will serve as a consultant and trusted resource to employees on all things HR related; including partnering with them to resolve HR issues. A successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent for ZOLL. The HRBP proactively problem solves, anticipates HR-related needs, and integrates solutions. This position will work collaboratively with the HR team to achieve business objectives of the organization. Reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

• Meets regularly with the business departments they are assigned to.
• Develops strong relationships with employees and leadership; provides HR guidance when appropriate. Is viewed as a trusted advisor.
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues; including conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provides people and performance management guidance to leadership on a regular basis (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Works closely with management and employees with a focus on employee engagement. Helping to identify ways to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
• Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
• Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
• Collaborates with HR team and departments to put on Company events that promote our culture and comradery at ZOLL.
• Supervises the Office Manager & Events Coordinator.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years' of experience as a HR Business Partner
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field. Year for year relevant experience may be substituted for the degree
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
• Ability to serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department
• Ability to lead small teams / projects as needed
• Strong communication and relationship building skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Workday
• Experience working in the software industry
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM SCP) credential desired
• Experience filing for employment visa sponsorships and knowledge of best practices

The hiring range for this position is $80,000-$110,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
