HR Coordinator Corporate HR 1st Shift
TITLE: Human Resources Coordinator
PLANT: Corporate
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Director
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY
This salaried professional position performs administrative duties as well as benefit administration within the human resources department. This role is the first point of contact for our team members. This role requires a conceptual thinker with outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. This role is also the unofficial office manager of the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Leads all administrative duties within the department.
  • Leads all benefit administration within the department.
  • Manages administration of temporary staffing.
  • Processes requests from team members.
  • Processes requests from benefits and other external vendors.
  • Updates benefits and other external vendor systems.
  • Performs data entry in HRIS system, various spreadsheets, and vendor systems.
  • Leads open enrollment and related activities.
  • Prepares communications for distribution.
  • Runs regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports.
  • Performs audits of internal human resources processes.
  • Assists planning of team member appreciation and recognition programs.
  • Assists planning of community involvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for human resources files and record retention.
  • Balances petty cash account.
  • Assists human resources team.
  • Meets all physical and environmental requirements.
  • Follows all prescribed safety regulations including the proper use of all required personal protective equipment.
  • Follows all Environmental Policy and Quality Policy guidelines.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition according to established Gibbs 7-S Guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED
Education: Associates degree required, Bachelors preferred.
Experience: Five years administrative/office management.
Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
Computer Skills: HRIS systems; Microsoft Office Suite programs
Other: Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
