Sr. Associate Compensation
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will report to the Director of U.S. Compensation and will support the design, communication, and implementation of Amgen’s Global Compensation programs.

  • You will serve as Compensation’s primary liaison with Talent Acquisition and HRBP within each U.S. business unit and functional area in support of Amgen’s drive to improve pay transparency throughout the organization.
  • Support Amgen’s emerging pay transparency strategy, ensuring accurate data is provided to appropriate stakeholders and in compliance with emerging legislation and company policy.
  • Proactively communicate with the business and ensure all people-managers and HR staff are aware of pay transparency requirements and help them understand the change and their role in supporting pay transparency.
  • Ensure key stakeholders are aware of progress and issues that may arise .
  • With an eye towards advanced analytics and digital innovation, you will be asked to contribute new ideas and continuously evolve our compensation, reward and recognition programs
  • Assistance with various career framework projects such as the continual evolution of the Operations Career Advancement structure.
  • Take the lead role on a project to create matrix on University and Rotational programs.
  • Consult with Talent Acquisition on new job offers within Amgen’s Global Compensation Framework Levels 1 to 5 to support US Compensation Team.
  • Support job leveling requests received from each business unit or functional area, and develop ways to standardize the leveling process across the organization.
  • M&A integration support as required
  • Other projects as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • We'll need you to have both a strategic mindset and the ability to dig deep so that you can ensure first class operational excellence
  • A Degree or similar qualification
  • Experience of more than 2 years’ work in similar position or consulting position
  • Experience in compensation design, communication, technology and implementation
  • Strong project management experience
  • Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication
  • Excellent user of Office Programs as Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred Requirements

  • CCP certification
  • Studies specialized in HR, Statistics, Pensions, Benefits etc.
  • International experience
  • Consulting experience
  • HRBP experience
  • Pharmaceutical Industry knowledge
  • Knowledge of consulting job evaluation and market rate methodologies (WillisTowersWatson, Mercer, Hay/KF etc.)
  • Worked and lived abroad would be an asset

Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:

  • Experience in compensation design, communication, technology and implementation
  • Strong project management experience
  • Excellent user of Office Programs as Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Also, marketpay and workday experience is a plus
