Housekeeper/Laundress Job at Summerlin Family
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a semi-formal residence located in Summerlin. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness, organization, and laundry of the residence. This position is part-time, live-out. The ideal schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9am to 1pm possibly 3pm depending on your pace. Occasionally weekends for special events will be requested.
Candidate Profile:
Perfect canidate has experience in private service, is a well-rounded housekeeping professional, and has experience as a laundress. Must have a strong understanding of household hygiene, cleaning best practices, detail oriented, and strong organizational skills. Banquet/Food Service a plus but not required. Must have a 'whatever it takes attitude' and have a calm and collected approach when things do not go as planned. Must be confortable with following instructions from management as well as the Principals.
Primary Responsibilites:
- Daily housekeeping to including dusting, vacuuming, kitchen, bathroom cleaning, washing floors
- Maintain household inventory and report to mananement for replenishing
- Must have experience in care of high end sensitive/fine furnishings, fixtures, fabrics, finishes, surfaces, and clothing
- Must have experiene in using natural cleaning products
- Daily laundry, ironing, and steaming
- Organizing of closets, pantries, etc.
- Special projects inlcude, but not limited to, quartely deep cleans, household cupboard and closet cleaning and reorganization
- Errands not limited to dry cleaning, and crocery shopping as required
- Setting dining table for dinner parties as needed
- Other duties as required from time to time
Applicant Qualities:
- Must have previous experience working in a semi-formal residence
- Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
- Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercise diplomacy, discretion, and respect of boundaries
- Applicants must be service oriented with excellent English communication skills
- Must be legally entitled to work in the US
Salary: TBD based on experience.
Schedule:
- 15-25 hours per week
- Possible weekends/ evenings on request
