Our Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeper) performs the following duties to support Edgerton Hospital:

• Cleans, mops, dusts, sanitizes and inspects environments within the hospital facility
• Restocks paper products, soaps, and lotions as required
• Surface cleans and disinfects high contact surfaces to reduce hospital obtained infections and/or illness
• Operates vacuum devices and UV disinfection devices as required
• Performs terminal cleaning of patient rooms upon patient discharge per policy and procedure.
• Performs daily and terminal cleaning of surgical operating rooms AORN standards.
• Isolates, cleans, and sanitizes bodily fluid contaminated areas as required
• Removes, segregates, and store soiled linen per policy and procedure
• Routinely empties trash/garbage, contaminated sharps, and infectious waste receptacles
• Removes soiled cubicle curtains and segregates for laundering. Replace with clean curtains.
• Makes note of building deficiencies and flaws and reports them promptly to management

Currently we have (2) positions available:

Full-time: Will be able to work 6AM-2:30PM.

Part-time: Will be able to work 12PM-8:30PM or 4:30-12PM

Both roles are required to work every 5th weekend & every 5th holiday (YES - YOU READ THAT RIGHT, ONLY EVERY 5TH WEEKEND!)

• Previous healthcare cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
