Homeless Street Outreach Worker Job at Bucks County Opportunity Council, Inc.
Bucks County non-profit seeks an individual to perform street outreach services throughout Bucks County. The Homeless Street Outreach Worker will verify homelessness and connect people to resources to resolve their housing crisis.
Responsibilities:
· Provide in person outreach, with a housing first perspective, to individuals or families that report as homeless in Bucks County
· Establish relationships and encourage participation in mainstream housing services in an effort to achieve housing stability
· Accept referrals from the Bucks County Housing Link to assist in identification, location, and verification of homeless individuals and families in Bucks County
· Maintain complete and accurate case records, including the county’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
· Participation in Housing Continuum of Care for Bucks County
Requirements:
· Lived experience in homelessness OR minimum Associate's degree
· Experience in working with homeless individuals/families
· Valid driver’s license and reliable car
· Schedule that includes some evenings
Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
