This position will work with multiple crews building various projects such as commercial parking lots, city streets, county roads and interstate highways. Description:

• Operates construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, or grade tractors.
• Prepares construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation.
• Uses excavating machinery to dig holes and trenches used in structural concrete.
• Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites.
• Uses equipment to prepare building sites for exterior site work such as parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks.
• Operates machinery used to build roads.
• Inspects and fuels vehicle prior to beginning shift.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Able to work outdoors in extreme conditions, such as cold, heat, and humidity.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
• Able to work flexible hours to include weekends and overtime as needed.
• Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision.
• Ability to get along with others.
• Positive customer service-oriented attitude.
• Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities.
• Ability to read building plans related to structural concrete and land grades.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
