What’s the Job?
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Health & Safety (H&S) Supervisor plans, directs, and implements plant safety and health programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment at our manufacturing plant located in Wilmington, CA.
The H&S Supervisor is responsible for leading all aspects of the Plant’s compliance efforts with federal, state and local H&S regulations and all corporate and plant safety programs and policies. The H&S Supervisor will provide direction and leadership to all plant department managers, supervisors and employees in matters dealing with H&S related matters and will serve as coordinator for the plant’s various safety teams.
- Program development and training, auditing, inspecting and recordkeeping
- Identify and facilitate to correct hazards
- Safety committee coordinator and safety teams’ administrator
- OSHA compliance and recordkeeping
- Maintain health program compliance (ex: IH Testing, Audio/Hearing Tests, etc.)
- Health program administration, training and reporting
- Partnering with environmental provide support with sampling and recordkeeping for all plant discharge and waste streams
- Managing compliance inspections and attending hearings
- Maintain all applicable certifications
- Program administration
- Claims control
- Attending hearings/depositions
- Modified duty administration
What do you bring?
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Industrial Safety, or Health is preferred with at least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Three to five years’ experience in Safety, Health & Environmental management or related field.
- Professional certifications and licenses would include; member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, as a member of National Safety Council or as SARA/ CERCLA/ RCRA certified through a nationally recognized association.
- Familiar with CALOSHA state requirements and OSHA logs and postings.
- Requires basic computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn a variety of database systems.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, identifying good work behaviors from those that are unsafe and can carry a financial liability should those decisions be challenged through arbitration or adjudication.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
