The South Western School District Food Services department is seeking qualified, hard working, enthusiastic, and friendly candidates for a Head Cook position at an Elementary School. This a 9-month full time position with benefits, with working hours being 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday. The Head Cook leads in the preparation of meals, serving of meals, and cleaning up the cafeteria and kitchen, managerial duties of the building food services program, and serves as the kitchen lead. Minimum qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent; Basic math skills; Ability to hear with 40 decibel loss maximum and see with acuity of 20 inches or less and far acuity of at least 20 feet normal depth perception; Ability to reach above and below the waist; Walk and use fingers to pick, feel, and grasp objects and use of both hands for repetitive motion; Bending and twisting of the body required; Lift and carry objects weighing no more than 50 lbs; Ability to stand 90% of the workday.
