POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Gymnastics Director the Gymnastics Instructor/Coach is responsible for lesson plans, teaching skills, keeping attendance records, evaluating participants and distributing progress reports at the end of each session. Gymnastics Instructor needs to understand the importance of progression, safety and individual needs of each participant.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Instruct/Coach a group of all different aged youth and teach skills in progression and based on each participants skill level
  • Practical application of basic spotting techniques
  • Enforces safety procedures at all times
  • Keeps accurate attendance records to be turned into Program Director at the conclusion of each session
  • Evaluate participants and promptly distributes Gymnast Progress Reports on the last class of the session
  • Practices time management skills and communicates with instructors to promote the organizational flow of classes
  • Communicates, listens and responds in a professional manner with participants and their parents.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative manner with other staff.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program, nights and weekends included
