Groundskeeper Job at Trillium Brewing
Trillium Brewing Company is looking for an experienced full-time Groundskeeper to join our team! This position will help to maintain and protect our grounds and parking lots. Mowing, snow clearing, cleaning, and tidying the premises and minor repairs are all part of this role. This position is based in our Canton, MA location. This is an amazing opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, family-run brewery and bring your expertise into the world of craft beer!
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mowing acreage
- Weed whacking and maintaining/improving planting beds
- Grounds upkeep including leaf removal, stick/branch clearing and pruning
- Use of power blowers to keep parking lots and sidewalks clear of debris
- Fertilizing grounds
- Snowplowing as needed to maintain access during the winter including use of salt
- Assist the facilities team with projects as needed
- Follow all health and safety standards
Additional duties may be assigned, as necessary.
Desired Qualifications & Abilities
Experience
- Proven experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, lawn maintenance, or in a similar role
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Follows direction and freely asks for clarification as needed
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive attitude and consistent workflow in all weather conditions
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of power equipment (lawn mower, leaf blower, weed eater, etc..)
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of tractor as well as various implements including: brush hog, broadcast spreader, bucket and snow thrower
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
