Miller Brother Staffing in Lancaster, PA has the immediate need of a Grain Operator for 1st shift.
Pay Rate - $17/hour
Shift-1st Shift Monday-Friday (7am-4pm) **Must be okay working weekends as needed**

- Candidates need to flexible with their schedule as they work tons of overtime (up to 70 hours a week on some occasions)

Job Description:
To safely operate grain handling/oilseed production equipment meeting the quality and productivity requirements that ensure on time supply of safe products to the customer.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operates equipment and maintains facilities involved in the handling, storage and drying of grain and other products.
- Will be operating forklifts and skid steers to move grain to proper locations
- Must be okay using shovels to move grain and perform housekeeping of area
- Maintains proper set-up, inspection and calibration of grain testing and weighing equipment per requirements and procedures.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment within the facility.
- Obtains, prepares, tests and grade grain samples from inbound and outbound shipments.
- Responds to customers regarding account information.
- Provides weighing of inbound and outbound grain shipments per requirements and procedures.
- Performs all work within the safety and environmental guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies and company policies.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation
- Must be okay working in the elements. They will spend 100% outside
- Must be okay getting very dirty
- Seeking candidates that have worked in farming, landscaping, construction, or feed mill environments
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
- Must be physically capable of lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, and standing for the duration of the 12-hour shift
