JOB SUMMARY:

The General Production Worker performs various tasks supporting multiple production cells helping to produce high quality sheet metal parts according to customer specifications and AMG procedures.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely accomplishes all production support tasks according to work orders, blueprints, operating manuals, training materials, and quality control procedures.
• Assists with material distribution between production areas ensuring materials are properly marked, documented, and stored.
• Safely uses power tools and hand tools to remove burrs, sharp edges, and splatter from parts.
• Inspects parts for cut quality and accuracy with basic measurement equipment.
• Passivates welded parts in accordance with work orders and quality process control documentation.
• Drilling, cutting, tapping parts using hand and power tools.
• Paint preparation and application.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Assist other production cells performing tasks the same as, or similar to their assigned work area to help meet production goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of and ability to identify various materials, especially metals.
• Ability to safely operate a variety of assigned powered tools and equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and use basic inspection tools.
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other lifting devices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
