Our company, a well-respected, growth oriented, forward thinking HOA firm with the corporate headquarters located in Orange County, is seeking to fill a Temporary General Manager position for a Large-Scale Community located off the Newport Coast.


Summary:
Serves the Board and the overall Association to protect and enhance the value of the collective assets, the perception of the community, and the quality of life for the community. Responsible for overseeing both day-to-day management operations as well as achievement of stated long-range goals. Coordinates and plans service activities in all Association areas and aids in formulating and administering organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates, contractors, and vendors consistent with stated and implied Association goals, policies and procedures.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as liaison between the Board of Directors and overall community.
  • Works with subcontractors and Association volunteers to communicate and implement the specific decisions of the Board of Directors.
  • Provides support services to the Board for project information including research, bid specifications, contract development and management. Conducts supplier/contractor reviews and contract compliance evaluations.
  • Prepares minutes and action item list following board meetings.
  • Delegates and assists in the completion of punch list items as appropriate.
  • Provides regular status updates to the Board on all ongoing projects and obtains Board feedback/approval as necessary.
  • Facilitates Annual Meetings and Elections
  • Creates a sense of community in the Association through positive service and communication.
  • Develops and administers annual operating and capital budgets in accordance with the governing documents, state statutes and Board policies.
  • Prepares, monitors, and maintains a complete capital asset reserve program in concert with the governing documents, state statutes and Board policies.
  • Supervises onsite team. Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, evaluating and managing performance, administering rewards and recognition, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Practices and adheres to Keystone’s Core Values, Mission and Vision.
  • Performs any additional job duties as required by supervisor.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Must have a valid CA Driver’s License and maintain clean MVR.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to drive within the community.
  • Knowledge of landscape and maintenance issues and ability to provide guidance to contractors/vendors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and listening skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent financial and budgeting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education and/or Experience:

  • 5 or more years of experience HOA property management or related role required
  • Certification through CAI or CACM.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
