POSITION SUMMARY: Maintenance Duties: Assisting in the maintenance department with duties instructed by the Maintenance Manager for interior painting needs, preventative maintenance assistance, normal maintenance repair requisitions, project requests and maintenance department responsibilities. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: One (1) year experience in grounds keeping preferred &High school diploma or GED equivalency. Proficient in Microsoft Word & Outlook, Type 20 wpm. Ability to communicate in visual, audio and written form. One (1) year experience in health care facility maintenance operations or equivalent operations preferred. Ability to operate and maintain lawn mowers, weed eaters, spraying devices and gardening tools. Knowledge of HVAC systems operations and AC units.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/REQUIRMENTS: Upholding all applicable rules, regulations, polices and procedures of licensing and other accrediting outside agencies. Addresses patients, visitors and co-workers in a pleasant and respectful manner. Receives and places confidential information with courtesy, accuracy and respect at all times. Safe use of basic carpentry tools. Operate an automobile safely and trouble shoot automobile issues. Disaster operations assistance when deemed necessary. Communicates with Director of IT and Maintenance Manager for areas of concern and/or updating needs. Maintaining parking/drive areas free of excessive weeds. Maintenance duties: Assist Senior Maintenance Technician as directed for: Preventative maintenance duties. Electrical repair or replacement of light receptacles, motors and other electrical devices. Plumbing maintenance and repair. Kitchen equipment maintenance and repair of garbage disposal, dish washer, and small appliances. Carpentry needs of minor repairs of building and equipment, desks, shelving and sheet rock repairs. Project request assistance. All phases of painting needs. Logging preventative maintenance’s personally preformed and repair requisition outcomes in accordance with hospital policy and external requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/REQUIRMENTS:

• Obtain technical expertise with problems that arise concerning the care and maintenance of the grounds.
• Other job related duties as assigned.
