Job Title: General Laborer
Hours worked:
- Typically, between 6:30am -4:30pm
- Monday through Friday- occasional Saturdays during busy season
- Year-round work (not seasonal work)
Primary Location: Dorr, MI 49323 with various work locations. Transportation provided from primary location to the various job sites with company work vehicles.
Pay Range: starting pay based on prior experience, if any
Job Duties:
- Assist with general carpentry work
- Uses hand tools (e.g. shovels, sledgehammers, drills)
- Loads and unloads materials and equipment from work trucks and ensures proper tools and equipment are on work site and in working order
- Prepare and maintain a clean and orderly job site
- Assists in measuring and arranging materials according to blueprints
- Cuts and shapes materials such as wood, plastic, etc.
- Assists with the repair and installation of locks, doors, etc.
- Assists with the installation of partitions, walls, and doors
- Operating equipment and machines
- Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities
- Erect or dismantle scaffolding, braces, or other temporary structures
- Commercial building work
- Assist construction crew as necessary
- Clean up on construction site
- Light demolition work
- Rough carpentry and finish carpentry work
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Preferred previous work-related skills and knowledge, NOT mandatory
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting objects on regular basis
- Carrying objects on a regular basis
- Pushing/pulling objects up to 70 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
