We are seeking a highly skilled General Accountant to join our team and support our Director of Administration and Finance in daily accounting and reporting responsibilities. As our General Accountant, you will have the opportunity to use your leadership skills, analytical expertise, and job knowledge to provide assistance to operational personnel, DC management and members of the accounting department.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Director of Administration and Finance in financial reporting and analysis
• Record and reconcile all factory invoices and in-bound freight for all goods
• Identify opportunities to improve accuracy of costing and report out any major PPV variances, ensuring alignment with Purchasing
• Review inventory movements to assist with accurate and complete valuation
• Assist with month-end close by analyzing reports and making journal entries to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
• Perform cost rolls on new parts and models as needed
• Assist in establishing overhead rates
• Assist with physical inventories and prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Support periodic audit of key operational processes that impact financial performance and/or internal control
• Assist all aspects of the accounting team, including training, analyzing, and reporting
• Identify opportunities for cost improvement where applicable
• Assist with special projects as directed
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in Business with emphasis in Accounting
• Experience with NetSuite
• Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric analysis, with meticulous attention to details
• Proficient in the use of Excel spreadsheets
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures
• A naturally inquisitive nature, enjoys digging into the numbers and variances, strives to understand the numbers and not just report them
• Ability to prioritize needs and meet deadlines while remaining flexible
• 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred
