Gender Equality & Social Justice Fellow Job at Save the Children
Summary
For over a century, Save the Children has placed the rights of children at the forefront of our agenda. As an organization founded by feminist action, we believe that placing gender equality and social justice at the heart of our work has a resounding impact on the lives of children and families, creating positive and sustainable change in communities across the globe.
At Save the Children, we adopted a Gender Equality Policy in 2017 to serve as our framework for advancing gender equality across the organization. The gender equality policy explicitly recognizes the importance of accounting for gender expansive identities in all facets of our work as a child rights organization. In 2019, Save the Children, U.S. (SCUS) launched its first-ever gender equality strategy which recognizes that transformative change can only be achieved if we take a whole, institution, inside-out approach to this work – advancing gender equality not only across programming and advocacy, but also in how we operate. As we advance our new 2022-2024 strategy, we are crystalizing out focus on reaching children most impacted by inequality and discrimination.
