Fusion Technician Job at Magnolia River
Currently Magnolia River/Storti Quality Services is seeking a Fusion Inspection Technician for the New York City area and Westchester County, NY. This is a great opportunity for somebody that is looking to start a career in the utilities field.
Compensation is $28/hr
Responsibilities of the Fusion Inspection Technician:
Our Fusion Inspection Technicians are responsible for performing a visual inspection on plastic gas pipe fusions and joints, collecting GPS coordinates on gas pipe fusions and related equipment, collection of tracking and traceability data on client gas assets, and reporting abnormal operating conditions that may exist. The position also requires accurate documentation of all inspections performed and all client assets encountered during the course of the inspection.
This position requires you to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and use a company provided tablet, smart phone, and GPS equipment to accurately document all records.
We are currently hiring throughout New York City area and Westchester County, NY.
Utility services experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Qualifications of the Fusion Inspection Technician:
- Background in natural gas construction or as a fusion inspector
- Previous utility customer experience is a plus
- Strong customer service aptitude
- Knowledge of computer software tools
- Ability to work independently, and take initiative to perform tasks
- Ability to communicate with project team staff or others
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
