The Budd Group is now hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for its beautiful Young-Harris, GA location:

Hourly Rate: $15.00 - $18.00/hr (plus quarterly performance bonus)
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30pm
Location: Young Harris, GA

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
  • Assist in the evaluating, repair and performing of minor plumbing, electrical and HVAC
systems in the building. Plumbing to include toilets, urinals, sinks and faucets. Electrical to
include switches, receptacles, lighting and breakers. HVAC to include filters, belts, PM of
equipment.
  • Communicates with the maintenance supervisor about any work that requires outside expert
assistance.
  • Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.
  • Ability to work with tools and supplies necessary to complete tasks/projects.
  • Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building(s). Ability to prep and paint.
  • Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records on material and labor.
  • Assist in performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural
damage, for example, window, door or wall repair.
  • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
  • Ability and knowledge to safely replace lighting ballast and lamps.
  • Follow all safety requirements including lockout/tagout and use appropriate PPE.
  • Works to complete their assigned work orders in a safe, timely and quality manner.
  • Assist with electrical wiring problems with the building’s electricity, such as resetting tripped
breakers.
  • Willingness to share on-call duty for emergency maintenance.
  • Ability to carry, extend and climb ladders safely.
  • OT may be required without notice to complete work assigned – time off may be offered or
required within the same pay period to meet budget demands.

REQUIREMENTS;
  • Minimum of one year experience working in a maintenance role.
  • Able to follow verbal or work order instructions
  • Proven experience as general maintenance technician
  • Experience with painting, hardware tools and electrical equipment
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to lift 30 - 100lbs
  • Must be 18-years or older
  • Must be able to pass background check & drug screen
