About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Full-Stack Engineer oversees development of our platform infrastructure. This position is hands-on and directly responsible for our API, the infrastructure, and codebase that drives it.

In this role you will:

• Proactively identify features that enable our clients’ business processes and develop the exciting features already identified on our roadmap.
• Bring creativity, vision, and best practices to design and execute complex technology solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable and secure AWS infrastructure including but not limited to: Lambda, RDS, SQS, ELB, EC2, S2, API Gateways among other components
• Architect, implement, and maintain mission critical microservices in a cloud native environment using NodeJS, Typescript, Express, Postgres
• Design and implement high performance, scalable database solutions
• Build highly scalable APIs that are continuously deployed and updated through an automated CI/CD pipeline
• Write unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure reliability
• Write scalable, maintainable, well documented code that a human can read
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on feature definition

Qualifications

• 5+ years demonstrated experience in a full-stack development position
• Bachelor’s degree or significant demonstrable experience in information technology, computer engineering or related subject
• Experience deploying infrastructure as code in a cloud native environment
• Strong knowledge and experience writing automated tests for CI/CD pipelines
• Fluent in Typescript, SQL, and shell script; comfortable in *nix environments
• Ecommerce (full-stack or backend) experience, Shopify API knowledge preferred
• Demonstrable experience in CRM and ERP platforms, Salesforce experience a plus
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Humility and a sense of humor
• You work well on a remote team
• Excellent communication skills especially in a remote environment
