Job: Little America Front Desk Agent
Pay $13/HR
Job Summary:
The primary function of a Little America Front Desk Agent is to provide friendly, professional, efficient customer service, hospitality and information to all guests, fellow employees and visitors. Often a guest’s first impression of a property is the result of the Front Desk Agent’s appearance, professionalism, skills & abilities. The Front Desk Agent must be knowledgeable, able to formulate decisions quickly, and multi-task in a challenging, busy and varied environment. Due to the 24/7 nature of our business, you must be available to work any shift, including weekends and/or holidays, at Manager’s request.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Courteously and accurately answers inquiries from potential guests and accepts in-person, online, and telephone hotel reservations.
- Maintains good customer relations by keeping abreast of all in-house and property functions in order to answer questions and concerns in a timely and knowledgeable response.
- Welcome, check-in/check-out guests on a daily basis, using both manual and computerized methods; review arrivals & departures.
- Anticipate guest requests and offer options to meet and exceed their expectations.
- Complete shift check-list and necessary reports timely.
- Maintain cleanliness of lobby and reception area.
- Control cash transactions at the front desk and maintain complete responsibility for personal bank as specified by the hotel bank agreement policy.
- Communicate all information that is pertinent and necessary to other team members, departments and department head, both verbally and in writing to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel.
- Maintains a professional image and is well groomed and in uniform with name tag on at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
- Carries out additional tasks and projects at the request of the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 or older
- Requires high school graduate level mathematical aptitude and knowledge of standard cash handling procedures and computerized cash register systems.
- Must have past experience in dealing directly with the public and acquired general knowledge of customer service skills.
- Requires knowledge of company/hotel policies and procedures.
- Must have a firm understanding of windows-based computers, proficient typing skills, and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time.
- Work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Ability to manipulate small objects precisely by whatever means.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally.
