Position Overview
The FP&A Pricing Analyst is a high visibility position with significant exposure to the Executive leadership team to provide price analysis for Business Development and Business Unit Operations. Candidate will have deep modeling experience and ability to analyze financial data, create financial models, generate financial forecasts, and play a role in driving key business decisions and price submissions for bid and proposals in Federal Contract space. Must understand the Deal Review process and oversee all aspects of pricing for both new clients and existing contract renewals and be able to generate business volumes in response to Request for Proposals. The FP&A Pricing Analyst will help to create rate cards and commercial price lists, analyze deal profitability, and set business guidelines for the Business Development and Operations team. This is a highly cross-functional role, collaborating with Business Development, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Warehousing. Successful candidates will be process-driven, a strong decision-maker and be able to balance complex models and analyses with simple and succinct communication. The position will report to the CFO and will operate in a relatively flat matrix environment, working closely with the Business Development personnel, Proposal Managers, Engineering Team, Procurement and Purchasing. The Sr. Pricing Analyst will provide briefs to the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Growth Officer, Chief Programs Officer, Chief Financial Officer, President, and Directors.
Responsibilities / Duties
  • Responsible for the company’s financial budgeting and forecasting processes, and financial planning model.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to develop timelines, gather budget and forecast data from the business units, review business unit submissions, and prepare summary information to facilitate review and approval by management and the corporate leadership team.
  • Analyze monthly financial performance, including variances to budgets and forecasts; prepare financial reporting information, and present to corporate leadership team and other important stakeholders.
  • Track important business trends and report on Key Performance Indicators to assist management in executing the company’s business plans.
  • Participate in monthly management meetings to review financial and operational performance.
  • Continually seek ways to improve the timeliness and content of reporting.
  • Lead key financial processes across the organization, including Financial Planning, Forecasting and Management Reporting & Analysis
  • Proactively engage proposal team members early to ensure greater alignment on strategy between the opportunity assessment/pursuit and proposal development phases.
  • Coordinate with various disciplines and functions to develop pricing strategies.
  • Understand customer requirements through RFPs and other requests.
  • Develop realistic schedules that meet requirements and deadlines.
  • Develop estimating instructions for 3rd party suppliers and internal engineering/operations organizations that are developing Integrated Master Schedules and Resource Basis of Estimators.
  • Generating cost and detailed pricing using the estimates, proposal structure, and pricing strategy
  • Thoroughly review RFP/RFQ and identify pricing requirements, material, and labor resources
  • Develop and implement various pricing models to support FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, LOE, or any hybrid contract type combination.
  • Develop labor rates based on given labor mix, period of performance and work site location (CONUS/OCONUS)
  • Develop cost/price responses or volumes in accordance with solicitation requirements.
  • Support risk and opportunity quantification and generating results of quantitative risk analyses to support bid or commitment decisions.
  • Support peer reviews to assure compliance and quality.
  • Mentor and train junior or other team members as needed in support of company goals and objectives.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and innovation.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years’ experience in FP&A and Pricing
  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Secret clearance (active or eligible)
