Position Summary
:

We are looking for a highly motivated seller who is reliable, organized, and outgoing to join our 50/50 Raffle Seller team for the 2022-2023 hockey season, beginning pre-season in September 2022! This position requires evening and weekend hours as scheduled for San Jose Sharks home games. The 50/50 raffle takes place at every Sharks home game, where one lucky winner receives 50% of the total raffle ticket sales (jackpot) and the Sharks Foundation receives the other 50% to support charitable organizations that fall in line with the Sharks Foundation's beneficiary qualifications. This is a seasonal position ending after the final home game (including playoffs).

Shift Information:

  • Must be available for at least 50% of home games
  • Shifts will begin 2-hours before each game and end halfway into the third period for a total of around 4 hours per shift

Essential Functions:

  • Continuously approach fans to explain the details of the 50/50 raffle program and offer the opportunity to purchase tickets.
  • Accurately facilitate the sale of tickets via various technology devices
  • Understand the mission of the Sharks Foundation
  • Occasionally, works with a non-profit beneficiary volunteer who may shadow your position on select game nights.
  • Must always wear an appropriate position-specific uniform during your shift.
    • Uniform includes an employer-issued ¼ zip pullover and self-purchased black pants, black shoes, and black socks.

Required Qualifications:

  • At this time, all SSE employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to working onsite at any SSE facility, unless the individual is able to telework or is otherwise eligible for an exemption in accordance with applicable law. If on-site services are required, SSE will require you to certify your vaccination status as part of the onboarding process.
  • Must be able to wear SSE assigned uniform during all shifts ($50 deposit required).
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must clear background check.
  • Prior customer service or sales experience required.
  • Must be a team player with an outgoing, enthusiastic personality.
  • Must be able to work with people of all ages.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly.
  • Must have the ability to operate, transport, and manipulate certain equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk/navigate around the building for long stretches of time throughout the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs throughout the entire shift.

    • Bonus pay: Hit $1,250 in sales during one shift and will receive an extra $15 for every $250 over $1,250 that night!
