Facilities:
Providence Country Club is a private country club owned by McConnell Golf with over 825 membership families, located in the prestigious South Charlotte area of Charlotte, North Carolina. The McConnell Golf advantage offers a unique environment with 16 other internal peer clubs for networking and enhanced career opportunities. Providence is a family centric club with an 18 Hole Dan Maples designed golf course, 14 tennis courts, an active fitness center and three large pools. F&B operations include an upscale casual dining room, member lounge, large ballroom and meeting rooms, men’s and women’s card rooms and a very active West Pavilion and Turnhouse facility. The clubhouse is open 6 days a week, 12 months a year.
Position Summary:
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for working as a Team to help manage daily Clubhouse services including Ala Carte Dining, Turnhouse and Pool Complex, Pavilion Bar, Banquet Events, and Member activities/social events. The Food and Beverage Manager will oversee the food and beverage service staff in regards to setting standards in training, food safety, and superior service to our Members and their guests. The qualified candidate must also be proficient in the management, selection, inventory, and regulation for wine, beer and liquor. Candidates must maintain an active “hands on” management leadership style. The Club’s F&B operations have had tremendous success for numerous years and we are looking to continue to build this momentum.
Qualifications:

  • At least 2+ years full service, high volume restaurant management experience
  • Extensive Front of House knowledge
  • True passion for food, wine and hospitality
  • Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs and uphold them
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution skills
  • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner
  • Work days, nights, and/or weekends as required; Move about facility and stand for long periods of time
  • Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic
  • A track record of proven successful leadership
  • Must have a High School Diploma
  • The candidate must employ a consistent attitude of exceeding Membership expectations
  • The qualified candidate must have excellent time-management skills, be detail-oriented and strong follow through practices

The Food & Beverage Manager will be a motivated team player that is highly organized, detailed oriented with a flexible personality and excellent people skills that can successfully interact with members and staff and create a diverse and unique dining experience. Qualified candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in all aspects of dining and food and beverage management preferably in a country club environment. Candidates must also be proficient in all Microsoft applications. This position is year-round and will report directly to the Food & Beverage Director and Assistant GM.
