  • Primary responsibility in production area
  • Ensure the safety of associates is driven into daily activities on the production floor. Leads and is accountable for safety related procedures and the practice of such
  • Manage the production of quality product to meet customer demand on time
  • Actively leads participative problem solving activities and ensures follow through on team based solutions
  • Leads with honesty, integrity and high ethical standards. Ensure all associates are treated with respect and dignity
  • Coach team members and team leaders on improvement opportunities
  • Monitor all aspects of production for best efficiency and ensure accurate data collection
  • Direct staffing to support efficiency, quality, productivity, cross training and developmental objectives
  • Communicate with all shift associates to ensure the distribution of timely information and expectations
  • Takes personal accountability for responsibilities. Holds shift accountable, recognizing outstanding performance and correcting performance that does not meet expectations
  • Able to make decisions under pressure
  • Support RPS, 6S, TPM and CI Standards
  • Comply with all OSHA standards and Textron health & safety standards
  • Responsible for performance reviews and vacation approval
  • Work overtime as needed and manage overtime scheduling on the shift
  • Ensure production, scrap, and downtime are accurately recorded
  • Support all Textron and Kautex policies and ensure application of such
  • Performs other duties incidental to the position, as assigned
  • Identify waste minimization and material recycling opportunities where applicable
  • Comply with all ISO 14001 standards, all TS 16949 standards, and all IATF 16949 standards
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, related field or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory capacity preferably in a manufacturing facility with a shift of 50-60 associates
  • Working knowledge of TS16949 and track record of TQM applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of plastic’s manufacturing techniques
  • Proven knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and their application
  • Demonstrated ability to establish a team based proactive culture
  • Automotive, Tier 1 experience preferred
  • Track record of problem solving leadership and the use of technical problem solving tools
  • Proven ability to make data driven decisions
  • Advanced communications skills with large groups and the application of one on one coaching techniques
