Fleet Manager / Dispatcher

Super T Transport is an Over the Road Refrigerated trucking company headquartered in Idaho Falls, ID with additional terminals operating out of Hyrum, UT and Phoenix, AZ. We are a family owned and family-oriented company which has been established based on quality customer service, created through an accumulation of over 30 years of combined experience from its seasoned staff. We are seeking Fleet Manager / Dispatcher who is looking for a career opportunity.

Fleet Managers / Dispatchers are responsible for the success and performance of the drivers on our fleets. The position entails action as the driver advocate to the company as well as representing the company to the driver. They must communicate the loads to each driver, assuring that the driver has a complete understanding of the load requirements including, pickup and delivery times, destination, and any special requirements. Fleet Managers / Dispatchers must monitor the progress of the driver in picking up and delivering the load to assure service that is within the levels that are expected by the customer. They are responsible for accurate and timely computer work. They must monitor each driver’s mileage and hours of service to assure that the driver stays within the required DOT regulations. In addition, the Fleet Manager / Dispatcher will monitor, communicate, and coach the drivers in all aspects of the driver’s behavior that impacts 5 key areas of performance: reduced out of route miles, idle time, mile production, retention, and on time deliveries.

The ability to communicate, verbally as well as in writing is very important to the success of the Operations Team. Critical thinking and the ability to prioritize is also a must. The right candidate will have to be able to ask the right questions, separate facts from assumptions and determine what is relevant and what is not in the decision-making process. They would be comfortable interacting at multiple levels, from drivers to other employees, to the President of the company. They would have the ability to help plan logistically to positively impact the 5 key areas of performance. The qualified Fleet Manager / Dispatcher would have the ability to supervise and oversee the work of others. Experience in the trucking industry is Preferred.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
