Finish Crating Job at Nidec Minster Corporation
Nidec Minster Corporation (FKA The Minster Machine Company) has an opening for a full time Warehouse Associate in our Service/Repair Parts Organization. This is a fast paced environment, tasked with picking, shipping and completing computer transactions for repair orders to our customers located throughout the world. This 2nd shift position is expected to work 40- 50 hours per week with occasional opportunities for additional hours. Operation of a forklift is essential in this position. Flexibility in personal schedule in order to meet customer expectations and ship dates will be required on occasion.
DUTIES
- Receives, counts and records shipment data into the system.
- Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise.
- Prepares packages/merchandise for storage.
- Record receiving data using computer.
- Pack, unpack, and mark stock items.
- Identify incorrect/short shipped items and immediately notify supervisor.
- Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area.
- Verify computations against physical count of stock.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
- Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
- Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Computer experience is essential.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.
- Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs) Frequent lifting, pushing of supplies and equipment.
- Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending and kneeling.
- Must be able to operate a forklift after training.
- Must be able to work independently and follow instructions regarding priorities of tasks or functions.
- A positive attitude and safety minded work ethic.
- One (1) to three (3) years of warehouse experience preferred.
- This position may filled through a contract service initially.
