You will also be responsible for advising management on the allocation of resources to best complete objectives and preparing reports for management. You will join a dynamic team as a key business partner in areas including forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity, is based in the Oakdale, Minnesota, area. We seek a candidate with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated competency in financial analysis.

• Uncover the influencing factors that are driving performance and trends
• This position would suit a flexible individual that has experience managing large amounts of information and meeting expectations
• Maintain weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
• Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
• Monitor monthly and quarterly performance by comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources effectively
• Work with contacts in Accounting and Operations to support business plans
• Amass and monitor forecasting reports
• Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
• Own monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
• Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close process by working with Accounting
• Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

• Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience considered)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
• Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
• Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
• Data mining experience
• Microsoft Power BI experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
• Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
